Hard day today

Today would have been my dads 83rd birthday and my parents 35th anniversary. (Yes I have older parents, mom was 40 when she had me and dad sas 48) Its hard to believe that its been almost 10 years since he passed away. It seems like yesterday that he would pop over to our house when we lived in Kansas or we would go for a walk and end up at my parents house. Time passes so quickly but the memories never fade. I can always remember mom baking his favorite cake on this day....german chocolate with vanilla ice cream. There are so many things I wished he could have seen. Justin never met him since he was gone when Matthew was barely one. I know he would have been so proud of Ben and would have loved to see me go back to school and seen how our kids are doing. He is watching us from above and is with us in our hearts though. I love you dad and miss you so very much.....happy birthday
