Living in Savannah

Just the everyday saga of a military family who is living in the beautiful surroundings of Savannah GA. The husband is an MP with previous deployments to Iraq and looking at a medical retirement with the wife going to nursing school full time not to mention they have 3 kids and 3 dogs!

Yah it's Friday :)

Last night was my last class for Medical Terminology, I have an A there. An A that I worked really hard for. So now I just have 3 more classes and about 2 and a half weeks of this semester left. It's all good :)

Ben had his medical review board yesterday. Sometimes I just don't understand the military. Since his back isn't on his profile but his treatments are listed in his medical records he has to go back through the system to get his back on his profile and then continue his treatments for his back. After 6 months they will rereview his case and either change his job or medically chapter him out, which it sounds like they are leaning towards since his back is involved. We talked over our options last night and came up with a pretty good gameplan if the later happens. You gotta be prepared! So in 6 months we'll see, it feels like we're starting over from square one. I know he's frustrated since all of this could have been avoided if they would have treated his ankle in the first place instead of shipping him off to Iraq on a broken ankle. *sigh* He came home this week and was in so much pain again since he had to be on it a lot due to training exercises. He doesn't say a lot but you can tell and when he can barely walk we have a problem! I just want him pain free....

Tomorrow Matthew and Justin will be participating in the Cub Scout Pinewood Derby. It should be a lot of fun :) Also on tomorrow's agenda...Myriam has invited us and the kids to go to Chuck E Cheeses with her and her kids. We have coupons which is always a bonus! lol

Caitlin was accepted into the high school she wanted to go to so we are all pleased with that. They want us to register her by the end of this month which I thought was a tad early but not a problem.

What do you do if you tell a friend something, granted it's good news ,but you don't want everyone hearing about it just yet and they go and tell everyone? Myriam had this same particular problem with this person a few weeks ago.

TGIF!

You sound so busy. I really hope that hubby can become pain free again, it really sucks that the military doesn't pay better attention sometimes. Congrats to your daughter, and that you are finished with Med Term.
hugs,
Kathi
