My crazy stressful day

My day yesterday made me really realize how truly lucky I am to have a wonderful husband who loves me and who keeps our sacred marriage vows. Granted we have had some rough patches in the past but we work through them together, after all that is what marriage is about when you find that special someone to spend the rest of your life with.

I got a call early yesterday morning from my friend Myriam. She wanted to know if I had class, which I did but not till the evening, and if I could meet her at the hospital. She had outpatient surgery last week, female stuff, so I thought oh no complications from that. She was calling me from the back of a police car! She was on her way to be mentally evaluated. Yep my jaw dropped, it did a lot of that yesterday. Apparently she has been getting mixed signals from her husband and just felt like something was off between them. For the past month, he has barely been able to look at her, very irritable, has his cell phone glued to him and doesn't really talk to her. Yesterday morning she had it. She also found that his car keys had mysteriously vanished from her key ring. So she found them and proceeded to go through his trunk, which he was there and was very nervous and tried to stop her. She found a package from another girl who had sent him somethings. After several rounds of arguements he confessed that he had been seeing someone else. He is in the National Guard and when he goes for Guard weekend in Florida that is where this other woman is. 2 years ago he had cheated on Myriam, altho he said that time they didn't have sex, but he was emotionally involved with this woman. Myriam told him then, that he had one chance and that was it, they went to counseling and everything. Of course it has always been in the back of her mind, it would have been in mine as well. I won't go into the details of what happened after that, needless to say her husband said he felt scared for his life and called the cops on her. So I got my boys on the bus and headed for the hospital when I got another call from our friend Julie who said Myriam is now on her way to jail! OMG!! I get there, never having done this before, and from what I could get is that she was being charged with obstruction of Justice ( she tried to make the policemen not go into her house) and another charge. Thankfully they released her on her own recognizes (spelling) and I paid a 13 dollar warrent fee to get her out. She has to go back on the 22nd of March for her court date. We finally make it out of there after 2, I call her husband to tell him she needs keys to the house and vehicle and to meet us there which he did. He had all of his clothes in his car. The whole thing just makes me sick and so very sad especially for her two children. She did tell me that it was the most awesome feeling in the world to know that you could call someone and they would be there. I don't think she has ever had that before. I'm just glad I could be and I pray that her and her kids will be alright.

Then after all this I go and take a test in Medical terms last night.....have to wait and see on that one!

I am so glad that you were able to be there for your friend. Jail is a scary place and she is lucky that the judge granted her a PR bond. I hope that she can stay strong and make it through the tough times that I know she is going to have to endure.
you are a great friend to her!
hugs,
Kathi
